Thanksgiving in Sioux Falls

Four generations-Tim, Tyler, Tanner and Jim

It was a beautiful sunny day, almost 60 degrees so some of us went for a few walks around the block.

Tanner is very fun to hold-very sweet little guy!  He has a cute little mohawk!

Kenzley loved her walk, she's wearing the kitty hat I found for her at the BB.

The walkers stop for a photo-op.

Meanwhile back in the kitchen, Deb is working hard at the dishes.

It was a wonderful meal, turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole and so much more!

Finally Deb gets to rest!

Christmas and other decorating

Vintage map snowflakes

The paper snowflakes are made from old maps.  I needed to add them because the birds crash into windows.  This morning a big downy woodpecker crashed as it was evading a predator bird.

We bought new lights at Fleet Farm the other night and put them on a dusk til whenever timer.  It works well.

Playing Photographer over MEA

Too bad the sun was in their eyes causing a bit of squinting.  The colors
they are wearing work well with the old wood.

That's Nancy and Sophie with Dad.

More sun issues here but kind of a fun shot.

Never mind that it's a manure spreader!
We did it just for fun.

What are we sitting on, Sophie?  I don't know, Carly.

Cyrus Hayride

Royce took the kids out for a hayride.
Paul is hunting ducks in the background.

Silhouette of the farm just before sunset.

Love this photo!  It was taken up in the old cow pasture and you can see the farm-site in the background.

Showing off their new shirts from Auntie Lynn!

Summer's Last Blooms

I cut these a couple of weeks ago and placed them in spots where we'd  see them lots; the bathroom and kitchen sink.

These are gone too now.  Don't you just hate seeing your summer plants die?
Winter is a couple months too long for me.

A couple of late tomatoes with Mom's canned carrots.  Aren't they pretty?
The cat was a summer rummage sale find.   I was going to give her away but she grew on me.

My favorite variety of pansy.
