Vintage Lighting

Last summer, I went to an estate sale just down the road and found some fun stuff. I bought this fixture and wasn't sure if I would be able to use it or not but thought for a couple of bucks it was worth the risk. So, 10 months later, we had an electrician coming over so I set this out and asked him to put it up above the kitchen sink if possible. Well, it was a piece of cake I guess and it works perfectly with our cabinets and everything else really. It's fun when things work out that way.

Love it. I was in EL on Saturday morning so I made a quick run through the thrift store. Found a few things there. Passed up a couple of things that as soon as I got home I regretted. Maybe will come back sometime soon to see if they are still there.

You are the "queen" of knowing the perfect way of making things like this beautiful light work! Beautiful!

Thank you, Karen & Charice! Karen I have not been to the BB for a couple of weeks so if something you liked sold, it won't be because of me. :)
I've been too busy the last couple of weeks to stop in with all the end of the school year stuff. We had our last full day today, two hours tomorrow and then I'll have plenty of time for thrift stores again. My first order is probably to fill a bag to donate. :)

Congratulations on your last day. Were you sad, or glad to be done? I have to say I am going to miss my class of preschoolers. They were an awesome bunch! Warren has a saying about buying at Thrift stores. If you buy something you have to get rid of something. Ann

One day this summer I am going to come over to your home for a tour. Jeffrey golfs on Tuesday afternoons so that is a great time for me to "run". I'll call ahead.

Ann, it is always an emotional day for me. I will really miss many of these kids unlike last year. I didn't cry or anything like I used to in my early years but it is still emotionally draining and then you throw in all the work that needs to be done. Of course I will have some of them next year again for one period so that's nice. They were just jumping at the bit to get out though! Wish I could say I was done but I have to go back tomorrow even though it's a bank day, don't get me started on those.

Karen, let's plan a Tuesday soon-that would be fun, we could do the BB together too!
