I love birch-here's a neat idea. I plan to use birch accents on the fireplace mantel this year. Birch is extremely flammable to use caution when using near candles.
This is like a rummage sale dream, coming upon a bunch of vintage ornaments like this!!

I love the old ornaments. I always pick them up year round. This year mine are all in a HUGE glass canister for display. I was sorry to see that a couple had broken in storage this past year. The other day I packed up a huge tub of Christmas decorations. Brought them down to Gary's hospital room so it looks a little festive (as festive as it can be) down there. If he gets to the Hope House before Christmas they will be easy to pack up and move there also.
