IDOL Chatter

Last week I swore off American Idol after being a faithful watcher for the past 4 years. I just think it's a rather dull season and I can't stand the fact that Sanjaya still remains! He wasn't even in the bottom three tonight...unbelievable. I don't blame him, it's his voters who need their heads(or ears) checked. Last night, I missed the first 20 mn but caught the final 7. (I can't just go cold turkey!) Chris Sligh was voted off tonight and I wasn't surprised. At first, I thought he had the potential to go a long ways but the more I heard of him the less I liked him. He's still 100% better than Sanjaya! My favorite is Melinda~ Love her voice and personality.

Come on Laurie and leave the little long haired boy alone. Are you aware that radio gross man Howard Stern is leading the charge for all of his listeners to fix the vote and make Sanjaya the winner. He is not a big fan of American Idol and would like to see it end. Must be working. I won't make any nasty comments about the icky guy who won last year if you leave the little kid alone.

I agree... I can't stand Sanjaya!!!If he keeps on winning, I too may swear off Idol, and I love it. Idol is the only show that I make time for and watch faithfully!

Hey Anonymous,
Don't go after my man Taylor Hicks!! :) Like I said in my post, I don't blame Sanjaya for getting votes. But you can't deny that the kid can NOT sing. I think he knows that and that almost makes me feel a little sorry for him. But you can't blame him for enjoying the ride. I suspected that the Sanjaya vote might be a conspiracy again American Idol. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. Laurie

Obviously he can sing, or he wouldn't have gotten this far. I quit watching 2 years ago, got a hobby and now just enjoy life without the tv on.

Well, this seems to be a pretty hot topic. Kelsey is now a big Idol fan as well. The Heath's prefer Blake (Courtney's choice), Haley (Eric's choice), and Jordin (my choice), as for Kelsey...she just sings and dances to the music. At least it's a show we can all watch together:)
Who's anonymous besides Darlene??

I was so sorry to see the curly-haired guy go! I liked his voice and his personality a lot.

P.S. Laurie, I saw on another blog that you were trying to figure out how to add a custom header to your blog. I've been trying to figure that out too and I finally went to the Help option of Blogger and did a search for Adding Custom Header and 3 options came up. One of those should work for you, I think. I'm going to try it on mine as soon as I make a header - good luck!

Well, Jen, I don't think this anonymous sounds like your mom!! Unless, she's a closet Sanjaya fan.

Thank you, LPVintage! I will look into that. I noticed that you have a lovely header on your blog, it must have worked for you!! Good job!!!

If you google the phrase "vote for the worst" you are bound to come up with websites encouraging people to vote for the worst one in the competition. I tried that out when Scott Savol stayed in longer than he should have a couple seasons ago. Every year there is a contestant or two who stays way beyond their welcome. I quit watching it.

May I recommend that you all start watching "Friday Night Lights." In my opinion, it is the best show on tv and not many people are watching it. It's a shame that a show like that might get cut while something like "Deal or No Deal" stays on. It's become one of my missions to get more people to watch FNL.

Shari - I watch Friday Night Lights and I love it as well! :)

Tami, I'm glad to hear you are watching it. I loved the season finale the other night. I actually had goosebumps during a few different scenes. I read that NBC ordered 6 new scripts - so that is a good sign. I hope it comes out on dvd this summer.
