Junonia Shell

Here's the rare Junonia shell Paul and Ellen found on Captiva beach. Paul found it and Ellen gleefully identified it, according to their reports. What a great souvenir! Read Shari's comment on the previous post if you'd like to hear more about their trip and Captiva. I think I could get addicted to shelling. Thanks for the photo's Shari.

Ellen emailed the picture of her and Paul to the Island Sun newspaper. They emailed her back and said they would be happy to publish the photo and congratulated them on their great find. They're going to send us a copy when it is published. Who'd have thought that finding a shell could be so darn much fun?
